Sedate, calm, tranquil are words that come to mind when I gaze at the quiet color, gentle curves, and arched door of this home tucked inside the Fortress of Monemvasia. The mottled white paint on the door gives the place an inviting shabby chic feel.

Inspiration: Thursday Doors.
That’s a beautiful photo. If you asked me if it was a real door or a watercolor, I might have guessed wrong.
Thanks, Dan. The image does have a soft, watercolor look to it.
Beautiful!
Thanks!
Yes, “Sedate, calm, tranquil” – all of that. Lovely shots 🙂
Thank you, Norm. It’s a good photo to look back on when life gets hectic. 🙂
Love just that little hint of pink! It would be interesting to find who was inside and what they had on the table and playing in the background:):)
Agree. It would be interesting to learn who lives in this lovely home. We have an artist friend that owns a shop in Monemvasia. I’ll have to ask her if she knows about this house next time we are there. 🙂
What a lovely door, and an excellent description/story! I could feel the tranquility 🙂
Aww, so nice of you to say! I’m glad you could feel the tranquility. 🙂
