While walking along the shore of Lake Ioannina, Greece, I noticed a small faded blue-gray boat partially submerged in the green shallows. Pink flowers and abundant greenery framed the well-worn abandoned vessel. I was struck by the unexpected beauty of this marriage between nature and man’s neglect.
