While in Greece this past September, we had the pleasure of meeting a good friend, Eumorphia, and her daughter for dinner at the hip Agora Restaurant-Bar located at 31 Vournazou Str|Alexandras Avenue in Athens. They had just come back from a short but memorable trip to the island of Santorini. After viewing photos of her Santorini experience, I was eager for Eumorphia to write a guest post about her get-away, and happily, she agreed.
Eumorphia shares her Santorini experience below, which she has aptly titled, “A Divine View.”
Tough year and time has come for a long waited holiday in Santorini, in Gods’ country, otherwise known as Hellas (Greece).
Time spent in a nine-hour wonderful day cruise inside the famous Caldera and walking on the top of the volcano, Therasia island, sunset in Oia and swimming in the hot springs, in Kamari and Perissa beaches for the first three days.
Top of all, our last holiday night spent in the amazing hotel “Ellinon Thea Santorini”, Greeks’ View (otherwise the view of Greece), a complex of nine Ancient Muses apartments. Located in Firostefani – just a few minutes walking from bustling with life and clubbing noisy Fira, it offers an immense Aegean sea view field, including the volcano emerging through its crystal clean blue waters.
The pleasure amplified by the relaxing Jacuzzi experience at the balcony during our private sunset view of the Caldera from Clio Room (the Ancient Muse of History). Hospitality, simplicity albeit Luxury, hand in hand.
The breakfast immense, traditional tastes and cosmopolitan touches, served privately on our balcony table to add taste to the magical view. To enrich our culinary experience, the restaurant “to Briki” at Firostefani, a dinner designed for the ultimate stimulation of taste buds…
What a great way to end a holiday in the island of Santorini…. Have a nice Fall everybody! -Eumorphia Remboutsika
Many thanks to Eumorphia for sharing her wonderful experience with us. While it’s been many years since we’ve visited Santorini, the magical beauty of this island holds an enduring place in our hearts and memories. Cheers!
Really beautiful views!
