Thursday Doors – San Jose Sikh Gurdwara

This morning I had the pleasure of visiting the grounds of the Sikh Gurdwara of San Jose, a beautiful, serene temple nestled in the foothills of Evergreen Valley. The Gurdwara welcomes all regardless of religious or cultural background. Founded by the local Sikh community, it is one of the largest Gurdwaras outside of India and is run on donations.

Getting out to see the magnificent architecture of the Gurdwara was a treat, as I’m pretty much sticking close to home these days. The Gudwara has many entrance doors, all of them of simple design as shown in the image below. The simplicity of the doors allows the decorative arched openings to take center stage. Many thanks to the Sikh community for the wonderful opportunity to visit the temple.
