Stroll the narrow streets of Nafplio, Greece and you will find historic houses and museums coexisting with current day cafés, tavernas, gelaterias, and boutique shops. Besides walking, you can explore the seaside town by bicycle, a favorite means of transport for both locals and visitors. When last in Nafplio, a green bicycle parked next to a green door caught my eye. Before long, I was hooked on capturing photos of bicycles and doors.
A few of the bicycles looked like decorative props for the boutique shops. One, in particular, had flat tires and was parked in the same spot the previous year.

Must be a lot of cyclists in the area. Great pictures
Thanks! It looks that way. Lots of bicycles and motorbikes. Must be the narrow streets and sparse parking that makes cycling popular.
Its good to see
Doors and bicycles are a great combination. I have many photos of bicycles from Amsterdam, but I’m not sure about whether I have them combined with doors! 🙂
Thanks, Amy! It was fun taking pics of bicycles. The narrow streets of Greece are perfect for bicycles & doors, there’s no parking available for cars! Thanks for looking.

Interesting how a bicycle can complement a scene, because it is an open form, while a parked car just blocks what you see.
Great point about bicycles being an open form! They are an accessory rather than an ugly distraction. Thanks for stopping by.
My pleasure.
So serene and pretty, I adore these!
Ah, thanks, Manja!
