On a mild winter’s day last year at Sandy Wool Lake, I watched a Great Blue Heron wade slowly in the shallows searching for small fish. As the Heron moved, I kept the same pace along the muddy shoreline. The Heron didn’t seem to mind my snapping photos of its hunt for a meal. The Heron has seen plenty of photographers, hikers, and fishermen poking around its habitat. None-the-less, it felt special to capture this mundane moment in the Heron’s life. Such a beautiful creature.
Beautiful bird and a beautiful photo
Thank you, Alice!
You are welcome
That’s a beautiful photo!
Thanks, Dan!
Hey, I just posted a picture of one of them on Six on Saturday! They are uncommon here. Well, they may be common, but they only come to town when it rains heavily.
I saw that. That’s a nice side to rainy season. 😊
Gorgeous! The colors are lovely.
Thanks! I felt much gratitude to come across this lovely creature.
What a beautiful capture!
I’m happy you enjoyed it.
