This weathered gray door in Nafplio, Greece looks a bit mysterious set in a mottled, crumbling stone structure.Β I wonder what old secrets are guarded by the locked door. Despite the decay of the building, life goes on around it, with bougainvillea and greenery growing out of the dust on the stucco walls.
Inspiration: Thursday Doors.
Perfect Thursday door.
Thanks!
That’s a beautiful photo and a door that has served well, for a long time.
Thank you, Dan. I’m always curious as to what’s behind the door, but with a lock on this one, I have to use my imagination. π
It would be nice to get behind them once in a while.
Really makes me wonder whatβs behind the door. Almost looks like an eye over the door. π
Yes…The hole over the door does almost look like an eye. Kind of creepy. π
A closed door often has a mystery – especially with an old weathered house or building! Great find:)
What I liked about the Mediterranean countries was that similar flowers, similar weather made me feel at home, like in California!
Thanks! Yes, Greece does feel like home with its similar landscape to CA. Best climates in the world!
Agree with that a 100%! Wish I could say that about my country of origin (Holland), where all our family lives. I guess I can’t have it all:):)
A very intriguing door within a nicely taken photo. It has so much character. I too would love to know its secrets, all it has seen and what’s on the other side. =)
Thank you, Brenda. π
