Love the Sea

She loved the sea. She liked the sharp salty smell of the air, and the vastness of the horizons bounded only by a vault of azure sky above. It made her feel small, but free as well. -George R. R. Martin

When I read this passage in a bellaGrace Field Guide to Everyday Magic, I thought, this is me. There is no other place I’d rather be than by the sea. A favorite spot of mine in the San Francisco Bay Area to breathe the sharp salty smell of sea air is Carmel Beach at the end of Ocean Avenue in Carmel By-the-Sea. It’s time for another visit to the sea.
