A quirky house-shaped structure and doorway frame the entrance to a boardwalk over the Alviso Marina Park salt marsh. The boardwalk leads to the San Francisco Bay Trail and the Don Edwards San Francisco Bay National Wildlife Refuge, a favorite location for bird watching, hiking, and bike riding. On this evening visit, the sun’s golden glow highlighted the autumnal colors of the marshland. Tall grasses and milk thistle weeds danced to-and-fro under a light bay breeze. A handful of people strolled the boardwalks and trails. Before long, the sun fell to the horizon signaling it was time to go.

Beautiful photo and “Don Edwards San Francisco” reminds me to listen to Don Fransisco’s music again
Thanks, Abrie! I’m glad to trigger thoughts of Don Fransico’s music. 🙂
